As part of their Asian practice team, you will assist in growing their reputation as a firm with special expertise in this area. You will advise both external and internal clients in relation to Asian applications and the Asian system to better protect their intellectual property, knowledge and ideas, and actively help them manage and develop their Asian and global patent portfolio. To become an all-round advisor you will follow the official professional training programme to become an European patent attorney. The traineeship is fully sponsored by the company and consists of a three-year course, one day per week. During your training, you will learn how to write a patent application, how grant procedures work and you will learn about the administrative and financial side of patent applications. You will not only learn more about patents, but also about trademarks, legal skills, how to deal with clients and other soft skills.
